The city of Volterra and its splendid territory is, probably, in Tuscany, one of the most varied and rich of attractions. The undisputed historical tradition joins the beautiful nature that offers, from morphology, vegetation and fauna, an imposing patrimony.
A Volterra history has left its mark with continuity from the Etruscan period until the nineteenth century, with artistic and monumental remains of great importance, which can be admired simply walking through the streets of the historic center, but also visiting the city museums: the Museum Etruscan, the Civic Art Gallery, the Museum of Sacred Art, the Ecomuseum of Alabaster.
Besides these monuments one can find a pristine landscape, a quality of life still a human scale and an artistic handicraft unique in the world: alabaster.

Calci

In the past Calci was a collection of villages, which developed around the most important waterways (the zambre) and lived in the wool and products of the land. In the centuries is almost nothing left of these agglomerations, if not the most tangible trace of the settlement of the Carthusian order in the fifteenth century: the Certosa di Calci, now managed by the University of Pisa Museum.

Vicopisano

Vicopisano offre un piccolo, ma delizioso borgo medievale che nonostante le dimensioni ridotte, conserva un patrimonio di monumenti medievali di notevole importanza e di rara bellezza.
